Refund policy

Overview

Thank you for shopping with richpplax.shop.

This Return and Refund Policy explains the procedures and conditions relating to:

  • voluntary change-of-mind returns;
  • damaged products;
  • defective or faulty products;
  • incorrect products;
  • exchanges;
  • refunds;
  • return shipping; and
  • Australian Consumer Law rights.

This policy should be read together with our Terms of Service and Shipping Policy.

Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in this Return and Refund Policy excludes, restricts, or modifies any guarantee, condition, warranty, right, or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

Australian consumers are entitled to statutory consumer guarantees. If goods fail to meet those guarantees, consumers may be entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund depending on the nature and seriousness of the failure.

The voluntary return conditions below apply in addition to those statutory rights.

30-Day Voluntary Change-of-Mind Return Policy

For eligible products, richpplax.shop accepts voluntary change-of-mind return requests made within 30 days after the product is delivered.

To qualify for a voluntary change-of-mind return, the product must generally:

  • be unused;
  • be unworn;
  • be unwashed;
  • not have been altered;
  • not have been damaged after delivery;
  • remain in substantially its original condition;
  • include original tags where applicable;
  • include accessories or components supplied with the product; and
  • be returned in suitable protective packaging.

We may request proof of purchase before approving a voluntary return.

The 30-day period applies only to our voluntary change-of-mind return program. It does not impose a 30-day limit on rights arising from a failure to comply with a statutory consumer guarantee.

The ACCC has warned retailers that imposing limited return periods for faulty products can misrepresent consumers' rights.

How to Start a Return

Before returning any item, please contact:

info@richpplax.shop

Your request should include:

  • your order number;
  • the email address used for your order;
  • the name or description of the item;
  • the reason for your return; and
  • photographs where the item is damaged, faulty, incorrect, or materially different from what you ordered.

We will review your request and provide applicable return instructions.

Please do not send an item to an address unless return instructions have been provided by richpplax.shop.

This requirement helps us identify and process returned products correctly.

Change-of-Mind Return Shipping

If a return is requested solely because you have changed your mind and the product is otherwise correct and free from defects, return shipping costs are generally the responsibility of the customer.

We recommend using a trackable shipping method where reasonably practical.

richpplax.shop is not responsible for a voluntary return package that is lost before it reaches the designated return destination.

Faulty, Damaged, or Defective Products

Please contact us if a product:

  • arrives damaged;
  • is defective;
  • does not work as reasonably expected;
  • is unsafe;
  • is materially different from its description;
  • has an undisclosed material defect;
  • is not reasonably fit for an expressly communicated purpose where applicable; or
  • otherwise appears not to comply with an applicable consumer guarantee.

Email:

info@richpplax.shop

Please include relevant photographs or videos where reasonably possible.

Providing photographs can help us understand the issue more quickly, but we will not impose evidentiary requirements that unlawfully prevent a valid consumer guarantee claim.

Major Problems

Where Australian Consumer Law applies and a product has a major problem, the consumer may have the right to reject the goods and choose between an eligible refund or replacement.

Whether a failure is major depends on the circumstances and applicable law.

The ACCC explains that remedies differ depending on whether a product problem is major or minor.

Minor Problems

Where the problem is minor and can reasonably be fixed, richpplax.shop may be entitled to provide an appropriate repair or other remedy within a reasonable time where Australian Consumer Law permits.

If an applicable minor problem cannot be fixed within a reasonable time, additional remedies may become available under Australian Consumer Law.

Incorrect Products

If you receive a materially incorrect product, including an incorrect item, size, colour, or variation compared with your confirmed order, contact:

info@richpplax.shop

Please provide your order number and photographs where reasonably practical.

Where the error is attributable to us, we will review the circumstances and provide an appropriate remedy.

Missing Items

If an order arrives with an item missing, please contact us promptly at:

info@richpplax.shop

Include your order number and identify the missing item.

We will review available fulfilment and shipment information before providing the appropriate solution.

Items Damaged During Delivery

If a product appears to have been damaged during shipping, please photograph:

  • the product;
  • the shipping package;
  • any visible damage to the parcel; and
  • the shipping label where practical.

Send the details to:

info@richpplax.shop

We will assess the issue and provide an appropriate remedy where required.

Return Shipping for Faulty Goods

Where goods are confirmed to have a problem covered by Australian Consumer Law, responsibility for return transportation is handled according to applicable consumer law.

The ACCC states that where consumers return faulty products and reasonably incur postage or transportation costs, they may be entitled to reimbursement of reasonable costs in applicable circumstances.

Accordingly, we will not automatically require customers to bear return costs where doing so would conflict with Australian Consumer Law.

Proof of Purchase

We may reasonably request proof that the product was purchased from richpplax.shop.

Acceptable evidence may include:

  • an order confirmation;
  • an order number;
  • an electronic receipt;
  • payment transaction evidence; or
  • other reasonable evidence establishing the purchase.

Non-Returnable Items for Change of Mind

For voluntary change-of-mind returns, we may decline returns of:

  • gift cards;
  • personalised goods;
  • custom-made products;
  • products that have been altered;
  • products damaged after delivery;
  • used hygiene-sensitive products;
  • opened sealed hygiene products where resale would be inappropriate;
  • worn underwear or intimate products;
  • used pierced jewellery; or
  • products expressly identified as final sale before purchase.

These exclusions apply only to voluntary change-of-mind returns.

They do not remove rights arising under Australian Consumer Law where goods are faulty or otherwise fail a statutory consumer guarantee.

The ACCC has specifically identified blanket statements such as “no refunds on sale items” as problematic when used to deny statutory rights for faulty products.

Sale and Clearance Products

Sale, clearance, promotional, or discounted items may have restricted voluntary change-of-mind eligibility.

However, sale status alone does not remove Australian Consumer Law rights relating to faulty goods.

If a particular defect was clearly disclosed before purchase and the product was discounted because of that disclosed defect, rights relating specifically to that disclosed issue may differ according to applicable law.

Exchanges

Where stock is available, an eligible customer may request an exchange.

Exchange availability is not guaranteed.

A requested replacement may become unavailable because of:

  • inventory changes;
  • size availability;
  • colour availability;
  • discontinuation; or
  • demand.

Where an exchange cannot be completed, we may provide another appropriate solution.

For statutory claims, the remedy will be determined by applicable Australian Consumer Law rather than solely by our voluntary exchange policy.

Refunds

Once an eligible returned item has been received and assessed, we will notify you regarding the outcome.

If a refund is approved, the refund will generally be sent to the original payment method.

The period required for funds to appear after processing can vary depending on:

  • the payment provider;
  • bank processing times;
  • card issuer processing; and
  • other financial institution procedures.

Original Shipping Charges

All orders from richpplax.shop receive free standard shipping, so there is ordinarily no standard outbound shipping charge to refund.

If another optional paid delivery service is ever expressly selected by a customer, treatment of that charge will depend on the circumstances and applicable law.

Where a statutory consumer remedy requires reimbursement of delivery-related costs, those legal rights will not be restricted by this policy.

No Unlawful Restocking Fees

We will not impose a processing, restocking, inspection, or similar fee where doing so would unlawfully reduce a consumer's statutory remedy for faulty goods.

The ACCC has identified terms imposing restocking or processing fees on statutory faulty-goods refunds as potentially problematic.

Order Cancellation Requests

If you wish to cancel an order, contact us as soon as possible:

info@richpplax.shop

We will attempt to process the cancellation before fulfilment begins.

However, we cannot guarantee cancellation after an order has:

  • entered fulfilment;
  • been packed;
  • been transferred to a logistics provider; or
  • been dispatched.

If the order has already shipped, you may need to wait until it is delivered and then follow the applicable return procedure.

Refused or Unclaimed Packages

If an order is refused or left unclaimed for reasons unrelated to a product fault or our fulfilment error, it may be returned by the carrier.

We will assess any eligible refund after confirming the status and condition of the returned shipment.

Nothing in this section limits mandatory consumer rights.

Return Abuse and Fraud

We reserve the right to investigate suspected fraudulent or abusive returns, including:

  • returning a product different from the item purchased;
  • deliberately damaging a product;
  • submitting knowingly false claims;
  • repeated manipulation of promotional or refund systems; or
  • fraudulent chargeback activity.

This provision does not restrict genuine consumer claims.
